After the heavy storms at the end of the week, heavy thunderstorms are again in sight in Hesse.

According to the forecast of the German Meteorological Service (DWD) in Offenbach, showers and thunderstorms will gather in the course of Saturday, which in some areas can again be thunderstorm-like with heavy rain, hail and squalls.

Because of the storm on Friday, emergency services in many parts of Hesse had a lot to do until late in the evening.

Heavy rains flooded around Neu-Anspach (Hochtaunuskreis) and streets near Butzbach in Wetteraukreis.

According to the police, rubble landed on federal highway 42 between Lorch and Rüdesheim (Rheingau-Taunus district), which led to the route being temporarily closed.

According to the police, 15 cellars were full in the central Hessian town of Dautphetal.
