The United Kingdom has just announced a post-Brexit trade agreement, on a trade volume of 21.6 billion pounds in 2020, with Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein.

Three countries which are not members of the European Union, but which are part of the Schengen area.

For the British Minister for Foreign Trade, the very liberal and pro-Brexit Liz Truss, this new agreement will lead to a major boom in UK trade.

Concretely, the agreement will lead to a reduction in customs duties on British agricultural products, such as certain cheeses.

These duties can now reach 277% for cheddar exporters.

It also includes reductions in customs taxes on pork, poultry, certain fish and shellfish and will help preserve 18,000 jobs in fish farming.
