“In recent years, thanks to the decisions made by the president and the government of the country, the strategic objectives of the development of the Far East, Yakutia has been developing very steadily and rapidly.

Today, the economy of Yakutia is based on the extraction of minerals, which play a very important role for Russia.

We extract almost 90% of diamonds, a significant share of oil, gas, coal, gold - according to all these indicators, Yakutia is one of the five regions of the country with the prospect of further growth, ”added Nikolaev.

At the same time, he stressed that the regional authorities see the need for development and non-resource areas.

In particular, the head of the republic noted that by now Yakutia ranks first in the Far East in terms of the volume of IT services exports.

Against this background, Nikolaev spoke about the development of other - creative directions.

“These are industries related to cinema, IT, design, jewelry making, architecture - we are doing a lot of work in all areas.

We were the first in the country to adopt the concept of developing creative industries.

Today, according to experts, the share of creative industries in the GRP (gross regional product. -

Nikolaev also added that Yakutia is currently preparing for the reconstruction of a building with an area of ​​about 12 thousand square meters, which will house one of the first creative clusters in the Far East - "Labor Quarter".
