"The record book should be passed down like a baton. When talking about achievements, one generation is better than one generation. When talking about lessons, there are pockmarks on the faces of predecessors, and the faces of future generations should not regenerate."

Team leader Wang Wenchao has always had a wish to go to the Chinese Armed Police History Museum to see the squadron’s "heirloom"-the branch meeting record book.

A few days ago, this wish hidden in my heart for nearly three years finally came true.

During the "Devil Week" training, squadron members received the enemy from the water and carried out assaults.

Three years ago, Wang Wenchao graduated and came to a squadron of the Second Mobile Corps of the Armed Police Force.

When he saw a record book as old as his father, a sense of reverence and intimacy arose spontaneously.

But unfortunately, the first three records are scanned editions.

As a result, Wang Wenchao had the wish to witness the original record with his own eyes.

Starting in February of this year, the army began to study and educate on party history, and the squadron held weekly "party history stories, let me tell you" micro-class activities.

Wang Wenchao intends to use the branch record book of the squadron to tell the story of "the branch is built on the company."

When he came to the squadron honor room to collect information, his wish three years ago came to his mind again.

He specifically asked his comrades in Beijing to find the squadron "heirlooms" at the Armed Police History Museum.

Under the WeChat video connection, Wang Wenchao saw the 1965 branch meeting minutes.

Although separated by a screen, the whole picture exudes a strong historical atmosphere: faded cover, yellowed folds, neat fonts, which are traces of time, but also memories of struggle left by the predecessors.

Wang Wenchao couldn't help speeding up his heartbeat when he saw the original.

When he first left the team, Wang Wenchao thought that the squadron's inheritance record book was only for preserving information. As he gradually integrated into the group, he felt that the record book was a "heirloom" often read.

Excitedly, he opened the other books in the honor room again, turning back page after page, and the time stayed on August 3, 1983.

At the democratic life meeting of the branch, when they first got the pennant for the all-around first place in the top infantry company, the "crowd" of the branch did not give a "tribute banquet." .

When seeing these "spicy" meeting minutes, scenes of scenes emerged in Wang Wenchao's mind:

In fact, less than a week after leaving the team, Wang Wenchao was "approved".

In September 2018, Wang Wenchao, who just graduated from the Special Police Academy of the Armed Police Force, just in time for the "Devil Week" extreme training, and the squadron asked him to join the team as a sniper.

In the first battle, Wang Wenchao won a lot of points for the group by virtue of his superb skills, and the team finally achieved excellent results.

What he didn't expect was that at the party group meeting, the squad leader did not praise him for his excellent performance on the field, but instead criticized him face to face.

"Every time the training is over, you hide yourself aside. As a systematically trained special warfare cadre, you usually need to help bring the soldiers around you." "This time the'Devil Week' extreme training, you only treat yourself The sniper course that can get high scores is heart-warming, if it is really on the battlefield, how can you defeat the enemy without the spirit of teamwork"...

Under the "fire bombardment" of the monitors, Wang Wenchao's face flushed red.

"I was recruited from the army, and my psychological endurance was a little bit stronger, but it was the first time I was criticized in front of so many people. At that time, I really didn't understand why the squadron was so real." Wang Wenchao said.

A sentence of criticism was unforgettable, and Wang Wenchao felt as if he had been stabbed by a needle.

And another sentence from the old leader gave him a deeper impression of the beginning of the next team.

After the group meeting, the captains who had just left the team held an entrance ceremony in the honor room.

In the squadron documentary "The Record That Never Fade", a sentence from the sixth branch secretary Chen Xuede touched Wang Wenchao deeply, "We must pass on the record book like a baton. When it comes to achievements, generations are better than generations. Talk about lessons. There are pockmarks on the faces of the predecessors, and the faces of future generations should not regenerate."

After more than half a century, why did the squadron spread the branch meeting minutes like a "heirloom"?

When I first arrived in the squadron, why would my comrades criticize him mercilessly?

Wang Wenchao thought that Chen Xuede's plain and profound words might be the fundamental reason why the record book was passed on from generation to generation.

"Under any circumstance, there is only the obligation to add glory to you, not the right to discredit you." Pride and guilt are intertwined. Wang Wenchao and the other two team leaders are in the "Hundred Victory" and "Changshenglian". After reading the oath under the banner of Two Faces, he truly became a "heir to a hundred battles."

  From perplexity to firmness.

Not only Wang Wenchao, every cadre who has just arrived in the squadron has such an unforgettable experience.

It is precisely because under the influence of a strong atmosphere of criticism and self-criticism, each of the "Hundred Victory Successors" strives to stick to the original mission and defend the honor to the death.

The squadron has done statistics. Among the 3053 meeting minutes recorded, 1025 involved criticism and assistance to cadres.

"We have a lot of internal criticisms, so there are very few criticisms from superiors. The squadron cannot say that it has not made mistakes, but the mistakes made by the predecessors will rarely be made again by future generations." The current squadron instructor Miao Bin said, honor comes. It's not easy, and no damage is allowed. It is precisely because of a more real hard-working attitude that the success of "Hundred Victory Successors" can continue the baton of honor, and continue to record brilliance in the branch record book.

"We must take good care of these books and not let them be damaged"

In the squadron honor room, these 100 branch meeting minutes were put on "clothes" and placed neatly in a special display cabinet.

Sergeant Wu Xuefeng, the administrator of the Honors Room, said: "Three years ago, when I was cleaning, I found that some of the records were wrinkled due to long-term reading, so I bought plastic film and wrapped it in a cover according to its size."

"This is the'heirloom' of the squadron. We have to take care of it like a cultural relic." In order to protect the record book in all aspects, Wu Xuefeng will use a rubber ball to absorb the dust in the book every once in a while, and use a small brush to remove the cover. dirt.

Through these small work, we can also see the importance of the "Hundred Victory Successor" to the record book.

The attitude of the officers and soldiers of the squadron to cherish the minutes of the branch meetings can be traced back to a sentence said by the 7th branch secretary, Dang Zhanguo.

When the party occupying the country handed over the record books, he and the next instructor repeatedly urged: "We must take good care of these books and not let them be damaged."

Although the squadron has undergone 10 relocations and 14 number adjustments, the minutes of meetings have always been a valuable asset for the squadron.

"We should not only keep the books, but more importantly, pass on this rigorous and pragmatic style of work." Miao Bin has a first-hand experience of the old instructor, Dang Zhanguo.

In July 2014, Miao Bin graduated from the military academy and came to the squadron. He was recruited by the branch to become an organization committee member and was responsible for meeting minutes.

In the mid-2015 work summary, due to the scattered troops performing tasks and officers and soldiers on duty throughout the day, the democratic life meeting could only be held in time, and it took one week after another.

Due to the long time span of the meeting, when the minutes of the meeting were completed, Miao Bin had already lost some of the speeches of comrades.

With fragmentary memories, he pieced together to complete the record.

When he took the transcript to the secretary Jin Jin Lei for signature, Jin Jin Lei found that the content of the meeting was seriously missing.

After inquiring about the reasons, he severely criticized: "The minutes of the meeting must be in original form and cannot be'discounted.' The performance of the troops outside cannot be a reason for lowering the working standards. This meeting must be reopened."

Due to Miao Bin's work error, the squadron spared time for another democratic life meeting.

At the meeting, Miao Bin criticized himself in front of all party members: "The predecessors said that we must take good care of these books. This time I lack a sense of responsibility. I am ashamed of the trust of the branch in me, and I am ashamed of the predecessors' teachings. Not as an example, please comrades supervise me."

Many people will be puzzled. It would not hurt to lack individual speeches in a small meeting.

However, the officers and soldiers of the squadron did not think so. Every time the meeting was recorded, future generations not only learned about history from it, but more importantly, felt the serious attitude of the branch towards the political life of the party.

The lack of speech content seems to be a trivial matter, but if the recorder lowers the working standards, the party members lose their rigorous and meticulous style, and the branch has compromised in inheriting good traditions, it becomes a major event.

After the squadron records were collected by the higher-level history museum, the branch specially selected officers and soldiers with beautiful handwriting to serve as recorders, which consumed a lot of energy.

As a result, some party members raised objections: "The record book is clearly written and easy to read. It is specially selected to write down the meeting minutes one by one, which deviates from the original intention of the meeting minutes."

The critics of the officers and soldiers awakened the "crowd" of the branch and immediately stopped the behavior.

Nowadays, when reading the record book of 2019 again, the handwriting of the meeting records of a certain stage is very beautiful, and the special experience behind it is a warning to future generations.

"Hundreds of wars and victors" regard honor as the second life.

Because of the squadron's perseverance time and time again, the tradition left by the older generation has never been "faulted."

This is recorded in the branch meeting minutes: After the domestic natural disasters in the 1960s, the life of the squadron was extremely difficult. The cadres gave rice and noodles to the soldiers to eat, and quietly ate carrot sticks, sweet potato stalks, and bean dregs.

In those days, saving a bite of food for the soldiers was the biggest love soldier.

Later, with the implementation of the meal-sharing system, "the soldiers do not fill up, and the cadres do not serve their dishes" became an unwritten rule every time they ate. The cadres always gave hot meals to the soldiers, and the soldiers always thought of what was behind them when they served meals. cadre.

In recent years, due to the increase in the number of field trainings, individual young cadres have forgotten the good tradition of sharing meals.

After returning from a training camp, a squad leader prepared meals in advance, and squadron leader Zhang Binbin convened party members to hold a criticism meeting, “Today we share weal and woe, and tomorrow we can live and die together on the battlefield. Even after decades, hundreds of years of this tradition, Don't forget it either." From then on, no cadres will eat food in advance.

The squadron kept records of party branch meetings for more than half a century.

"If we can't find a way, let's flip through the book. Even if there are great difficulties, we have to find a way."

History is a mirror, reflecting the achievements of the past and illuminating the road of tomorrow.

The meeting records of the 100th branch of the squadron are just such a mirror. From the precious wealth left by the predecessors, the officers and soldiers continue to absorb wisdom and achieve dazzling results.

In 2018, the squadron was reformed and transformed into a special operations squadron.

Facing the brand-new special warfare training courses, the branch "a group of people" is not very confident.

At that time, apart from the two team captains who had been trained in special warfare, the other officers and soldiers were the foundations of the mobile unit.

"If we can't find a way, let's turn over the book. Even if there are great difficulties, we have to find a way." Jin Jin Lei is the chief officer of the first squadron after the reform. As a cadre who grew up from the squadron, He clearly remembered that in the past, whenever the squadron construction encountered a "blocking tiger", he would "consult" the branch meeting minutes.

In 1964, the army launched swimming training. As a new subject, most of the officers and soldiers had no basic knowledge except for individual backbones who could swim.

In the end, through the joint efforts of all officers and soldiers, the squadron was praised by superiors when it was ready for the examination and acceptance.

The record book clearly records the secrets of the officers and soldiers: Fully promote military democracy, follow the principle of “gradual progress, teach students in accordance with their aptitude, and improve overall”, extensively carry out “one gang one” and “one red” activities, to learn to help, set a pace... …

In 2018, the superiors required that in the year-end special warfare ability acceptance assessment, the subject of "18-meter grasping rope" must be taken.

The squadron borrowed from the experience of group training in swimming in 1964, and applied the "one gang one" and "one pair of red" activities to climbing. Two squad leaders who graduated from the Special Police Academy of the Armed Police Force played a seed role and took the lead in making a group of strong physical coordination. , Players with good physical abilities quickly master skills.

In the swimming training of the year, at the beginning, some fighters evaded the training on the grounds of physical discomfort. Nowadays, many fighters are afraid of hardship and tiredness, so they dare not try in the corner.

After seeing the fear of the soldiers, the backbone of the party members took the initiative to shout "Look at me", and first demonstrated to the soldiers. Under the influence of the atmosphere of learning and helping, every team and every soldier was eager to make up for their abilities. Short board.

The advanced drives the backwards, from light equipment to fully armed, from decomposition exercises to coherent movements, as the last officer and soldier climbs up the rope, the belief in victory is clearly presented: there is no hard bone that can't be gnawed.

After half a year of hard training, at the end of 2018, the squadron accepted the higher-level acceptance assessment, and all officers and soldiers passed at one time.

"In view of the past, it is worthy of governance." After the reform of the army, the new branch team of the squadron knew well: Carrying forward tradition is not sticking to tradition, and learning from experience should not forget the lesson.

"Five more" is the most disgusting issue among officers and soldiers.

Not long ago, an old leader who once served in the squadron specifically reflected on a past experience to the officers and soldiers of the squadron: there was a historical period when the squadron had the phenomenon of going to the branch meeting for all matters, and the officers and soldiers complained a lot, which also directly affected The building of combat effectiveness.

The meeting minutes of 1986 showed that: on March 5, the company chief bought more than 10 pigs on the original basis; on March 7, the company bought back fertilizer; on March 12, the branch set up a support group for party members to teach soldiers to grow Vegetables, fertilization...These ordinary trivial matters were brought to the branch meeting, resulting in as many as 13 branch meetings that month.

"Regardless of the number of meetings, the length of the meeting, or the length of the meeting, the quality of the meeting and the effect of the meeting must be the top priority." Miao Bin carefully compared the content of the current and past meetings. It is obvious that after the branch meeting is standardized, the content of the topics is increasing The more it focuses on combat effectiveness building.

The successful "slim down" of the branch meeting minutes is a vivid manifestation of this change.

In recent years, the branch "groups" have improved working methods in accordance with the "Regulations on the Political Work of the Army", "The Work Regulations of the Communist Party of the Communist Party of China (Branch)" and other regulations. The number of branch meetings has been reduced, and the theme of the meetings has been more focused on the center At the end of last year, the squadron was rated as an advanced unit of the "four railways" and won the third-class collective merit.

After the reform of the national defense and the military, profound changes have taken place in the organization of the troops and the generation of combat power. The squadron's oath of "taking difficulties as hard work and honoring as life" still echoes in the minutes of the 100 branch meetings.

On the journey of a strong army, despite all the difficulties and dangers, the "Hundred Victory Heirs" are always fearless, and they continue to charge toward victory and honor.
