Anyone who moves on the streets of Malmö has probably noticed that the students are celebrating their high school education.

The joy of the young people is obvious, but in some places the good mood has derailed.

- There have been some disturbances around Stortorget where cars have been driven in a careless manner together with fireworks, Bengal fires and the like, says police spokesman Calle Persson.

When SVT Nyheter Skåne was on site on Friday, it was sometimes chaotic.

A group of students first threw a half-full beer can at the reporters' car and then started lighting Bengali fires and fireworks.

The public kept a safe distance but the police were on hand to intervene.

Party that can end in arrest

The students can of course celebrate that high school is over, but if they do not keep their party within the law, there is a risk that they may spend their big day in police custody.

- They can be taken care of if it is the case that it is considered a danger to public order.

These are not criminally serious crimes but are perceived as disturbing by the general public, says Calle Persson.
