The Regional Health Agency in Provence-Alpes-Côte-d'Azur opened an administrative investigation Friday after the death of a woman at her home in Aix-en-Provence.

This death could be the fifth linked to the breakdown of emergency numbers managed by Orange which began last Wednesday.

The circumstances will however have to be specified.

An administrative investigation was opened by the Regional Health Agency in Provence-Alpes-Côte-d'Azur on Friday, after "the death of a patient at her home in Aix-en-Provence", the fifth likely to have was caused by the huge breakdown of emergency numbers managed by Orange.

This investigation, opened in connection with the Samu of Bouches-du-Rhône, will have to determine the exact circumstances of this death, which occurred on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday, specifies the ARS Paca in its press release.

No complaints have been filed for the moment

This is the fifth death that could have been caused by the failure of emergency numbers, after cases noted in Morbihan, Haute-Saône, Vendée and on Reunion Island.

While no judicial investigation has yet been opened by the Aix-en-Provence prosecutor's office, no complaint has yet been filed, the courts have on the other hand seized the three other suspicious deaths in the Hexagon.
