National Assembly Legislation and Judiciary Committee held a plenary meeting on the morning of the 31st to adopt the hearing report of Kim Oh-soo, a candidate for prosecutor general.

The opposition judiciary did not attend, demanding the adoption of an agreement on the hearing report, so today's meeting was held with only the ruling party members in attendance.

Rep. Park Jumin, a secretary of the ruling party, led the meeting as acting chairperson, and the ruling party adopted Kim's hearing report within three minutes of the meeting.

[Park Jumin / Acting Chairperson of the National Assembly Judiciary: I would like to adopt (personnel hearing report) by adding the progress of the meeting, do you have any objections? If not, we declare that it has been passed.] The

opposition strongly protested.

The People's Strength Judiciary Committee criticized Kim for showing the essence of a parliamentary dictatorship beyond arrogance and self-righteousness, saying that the ruling party forced the adoption of the report even though he was judged ineligible for political neutrality, morality, and qualities.

[Kim Do-eup/People's Power Rep. (Secretary of the Judiciary Committee): The opposition does not care, and they push according to what they think or the will of the Blue House... .]

Earlier, on the 27th, President Moon Jae-in requested that the hearing report of candidate Kim be resent by today.

The Blue House is in the position that no major reasons for disqualification were found for candidate Kim during the hearing process, so there is a high possibility that the appointment will be forced.

When candidate Kim takes office as the Prosecutor General, he is expected to deal with the case of Kim Hak-eui, a former Vice Minister of Justice, and the case of Lee Yong-gu, former Vice Minister of Justice's assault on a taxi driver.
