As noted, the incident took place on Mount Andromeda in Jasper National Park.
Rescuers who arrived in the area of the incident found the bodies of two people.
According to police, the victims may have been mountaineering.
Earlier, rescuers in Buryatia found the bodies of three dead tourists as a result of an avalanche on the Gorelov pass.
