The results of several months of investigation were unveiled Friday by the prosecution.

In a statement, Carole Delga, the socialist president of the Occitanie region, reacts to the news by noting that "the extreme right is once again at the origin of unacceptable violence and attacks on democracy within the regional council ".

“A long visit” of Generation Identity

But the elected, candidate for re-election, goes further by asserting that "intimidation continues". She explains in particular that “just a few weeks after this intrusion (…) employees of the RN group invited members of Génération identitaire [a small group that has since been dissolved] to the Hôtel de Région in Toulouse, making them a long visit. places ". Carole Delga reported the facts to the police but also to Julien Sanchez, mayor of Beaucaire and president of the RN group. “To this day, he still has not answered my mail, explains Carole Delga. This silence speaks volumes about the will of the extreme right, in Occitania, to use all means to try to destabilize the Regional Council ”.

The outgoing president also denounces "many" other "acts of intimidation" since the start of her mandate: "death threats to my home, by anonymous calls or letters".
