May 30, 2021 Jason Dupasquier, the rider involved in yesterday's serious accident during Moto3 free practice at Mugello, was operated on overnight at the Careggi hospital (Florence) by a team from the Trauma Center who underwent a thoracic surgery for a vascular injury, but he didn't.



"Following a serious accident in Moto3 qualifying session 2 at the Italian Grand Prix, it is with great sadness that we report the disappearance of Moto3 ™ rider Jason Dupasquier". This is what Motogp announces in a press release.



Dupasquier's team, Prustel GP, has decided to retire from the Mugello Grand Prix. So today neither Dupasquier's partner, the Japanese Yamanaka, did not race.



On the screen of Dupasquier's bike the message: "Keep fighting", "Keep fighting". Tom Luthi (Moto2) also decided not to race today and joined Jason Dupasquier's family in the hospital. The Moto3 race was won by Dennis Foggia on Masia and Fenati.
