Extinguishing a boat fire in Umm Suqeim port, no injuries

The marine rescue patrols at the Ports Police Station of Dubai Police, in cooperation with the General Department of Civil Defense in the Emirate of Dubai, were able to put out a fire that broke out in a boat in Umm Suqeim Port, and prevented its spread to the rest of the adjacent boats, thanks to the quick response to the boat fire incident.

Lieutenant-Colonel Ali Abdullah Al-Qasib Al-Naqbi, Head of the Maritime Rescue Department, confirmed that the maritime rescue patrols, with the follow-up of Colonel Dr. Hassan Suhail Al-Suwaidi, Director of the Ports Police Station, immediately moved to Umm Suqeim port, and worked to keep the boat away from the rest of the boats parked in the port to prevent the spread Then it dealt, in cooperation with the men of the General Department of Civil Defense in Dubai, to put out the fire completely, noting that the speed of response to the fire contributed to preventing its spread to other boats, as well as the absence of any injuries.

Lieutenant Colonel Al Naqbi urged private boat owners to ensure the availability of all safety and security equipment on them and their suitability, especially with the onset of the summer and high temperatures, calling at the same time boat owners to use the Dubai Police application "Sail Safely", which provides them with the ability to enter the trip planner. And the sites they are expected to go to, in order to help them in the event of any emergency situation, stressing that the application provides sailors and boat captains the “SOS” feature with the click of a button.
