China has launched an unmanned cargo ship to carry supplies to its own space station under construction and has announced that it has successfully docked with the space station's core facility.
On the night of the 29th, China launched a rocket carrying "Tianzhou 2", an unmanned cargo ship for carrying supplies to its own space station under construction.
According to the Chinese space authorities, "Tianzhou 2" was successfully docked with the space station's core facility "Tenwa" after 6 am on the 30th of Japan time.
"Tianzhou 2" is about 10 meters long, has a maximum diameter of about 3.3 meters, and can carry about 6 tons of supplies. It means that it was carrying space suits for the purpose.
China plans to complete its own space station by next year, and plans to launch a manned spacecraft carrying three astronauts next month.
China aims to become a "space powerhouse" that leads the world's space development. Last year, it collected rocks from the moon with an unmanned lunar surface probe and brought them back to Earth. We are accelerating our activities.
