British Prime Minister Boris Johnson married his fiancée Carrie Symonds.

"The Prime Minister and Carrie Symonds were married in a small ceremony in Westminster Abbey yesterday afternoon," a government spokesman told the PA news agency on Sunday.

"The couple will celebrate their wedding with family and friends next summer."

The timing of the alleged marriage is surprising.

Because only a few days ago the tabloid "The Sun" reported that Johson and Symonds wanted to get married next summer.

The couple sent cards with the request to mark July 30, 2022 as their wedding date - this day will probably be celebrated in a larger circle.

30 guests at the wedding celebration

As "The Sun" reports, the bride wore a "breathtaking long and flowing white dress".

However, neither “The Sun” nor other British media initially had any information about the groom's clothing.

The head of government is known for his often disheveled appearance.

According to the “Mail on Sunday” newspaper, around 30 guests attended the wedding ceremony.

You were invited at the last minute.

The office staff of the prime minister were not privy to his wedding plans.

The 56-year-old prime minister and the 33-year-old former communications chief of his Conservative Party have been engaged since the end of 2019, and their son was born in April 2020.

However, their wedding plans had been delayed due to the corona pandemic.

Johnson has been married twice and has at least six children, four of them from his second marriage to lawyer Marina Wheeler and a daughter born in 2009 after an affair.

He left uncommented information about another alleged child from an extramarital relationship.
