Three Armenian men were imprisoned in the night from Friday to Saturday, after the murder Wednesday evening in Saint-Etienne of a 26-year-old Gambian, we learned from police and judicial sources.

The three suspects, aged 28, 32 and 62, including a father and his son, were indicted for "murder with weapons, in assembly".

Wednesday, around 9:30 p.m., the victim, father of a two-month-old girl, had crossed the suspects among a group of ten people in a residential area of ​​the city.

His assault would have started for a "futile reason" during which the young father received four stab wounds in the stomach, while he was facing the suspects who had become violent "apparently under the influence of alcohol", according to a source. policewoman.

Local residents filmed the scene and then transmitted the video to investigators.

Quickly taken care of by firefighters and Samu, the victim died overnight in the operating room of the Saint-Etienne CHU.

Equally rapid, the intervention of the police had made it possible to arrest a first member of the group, whose clothes bore traces of blood.

Two other arrests followed.
