The President of the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq and Chairman of the Barzani Charitable Foundation, Masrour Barzani, praised the role played by the UAE and its wise leadership in supporting the humanitarian situation in the region.

He expressed his appreciation for the UAE's development initiatives on the Iraqi arena, stressing the vitality of the programs and projects implemented by the state.

Barzani said that the UAE contributes strongly to strengthening his country's efforts to support the situation of displaced Iraqis and Syrian refugees in the Kurdistan region of Iraq.

This came during Masrour Barzani's reception in Erbil, the UAE delegation, which visited the region to carry out a number of humanitarian and health tasks, headed by the Secretary-General of the Emirates Red Crescent, Mohammed Ateeq Al-Falahi.
