About a week after President Moon Jae-in and US President Joe Biden had their first face-to-face summit, greetings were exchanged through social media.
President Biden unveiled an approximately one-minute video on Twitter on the 28th local time of his meeting with President Moon.
President Biden wrote, "Last week, it was an honor to meet President Moon Jae-in of the Republic of Korea at the White House. The ROK-US alliance began on the battlefield 70 years ago, and last week the two leaders rejoined this fierce alliance."
In response, President Moon replied, "Thank you, President Biden," sharing President Biden's message today.
After finishing the summit on the 22nd, President Moon said, "All of them were cheerful, humorous, and friendly people," referring to US President Biden, Vice President Harris, and US House Speaker Pelosi.
At the time of the meeting between the two leaders, President Biden also expressed a sense of closeness, saying, "I share the same values as President Moon and feel personally alike."
