On May 28, local time, the Russian National Aerospace Corporation "Soyuz-2.1b" carrier rocket carried 36 OneWeb communication satellites from the Russian Eastern Space Launch Site.

The launch was originally scheduled to take place on the 27th, but due to technical reasons it had to be postponed after 24 hours.

Ten minutes after lift-off, the booster carrying the satellite was successfully separated from the launch vehicle.

It is reported that this is the eighth launch mission carried out by the Alliance launch vehicle this year.

According to Rogozin, head of the Russian space department, Russia plans to perform 29 space launch missions in 2021.
