Microsoft, a major IT company, announced that it was found that a group of Russian hackers was launching cyber attacks on government agencies in at least 24 countries including the United States, and inadvertently clicked the link in the text of the received email. We are calling attention not to do so.

Microsoft issued a statement by the 28th, saying that it was found that cyber attacks were being launched against more than 150 organizations such as government agencies and think tanks in at least 24 countries including the United States.

Specifically, if you send an email disguised as USAID under the US Department of State to more than 3000 email addresses and the user clicks the link in the text, the data will be stolen or another computer will be infected with a virus. It means that there is a risk of it.

The attack is being launched by a group of Russian hackers called "Novelium", who are said to have been involved in a cyber attack that caused damage to the US State Department and others last year.

So far, the specific damage situation has not been clarified, but in a statement, Microsoft cautions customers and others not to inadvertently click the link in the received email.
