Three local students, studying electrical engineering at the University of Dubai, came up with an innovative way to volunteer using a "website", whereby each volunteer is given a number of incentive points that can be exchanged for services he needs in his life (his monthly expenses) to provide for his living needs, in cases of major challenges. Facing society, such as the Corona pandemic, and they called it "benefit".

Student Muhammad Mujren said that he and his colleagues Abdul Rahman Al Jasmi and Omar Al Zarouni participated in the implementation of the “Benefit” project, which supports volunteer work in the community in a smart way, so that the employee donates part of his time to serve the community in exchange for points that are recorded for him through a website, and he can exchange them With a number of living services, or discounts on the point card, whether food or other items, from specific sales outlets shared on the volunteering website.

He added that the website includes levels of volunteering, and the more volunteering hours a person has, he moves to a higher level, explaining that the number of volunteering hours per week ranges from three hours to 25 hours.

He stated that he and his colleagues were inspired by the idea of ​​the project that they accomplished within three months, through the circumstances produced by the Corona pandemic, and participated in the project in the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Award for Innovation in Project Management, and the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition organized by the "Mohammed Bin Rashid Fund for Innovation" within the incubators program. Universities, they won second place in the competition.
