A man was arrested Friday evening as part of the investigation into the death of a young man Thursday evening in Courville (Marne) and the kidnapping of a young girl who was subsequently found alive, according to a source gendarmerie.
According to this source, this man, suspected of being the author of the homicide and kidnapping, was arrested at the home of a relative in the town of Jonchery-sur-Suippe, by the GIGN branch of Reims, shortly before 7:30 p.m.
There was no incident during the arrest.
Friday in the middle of the morning, the prosecutor of Reims Matthieu Bourrette indicated that the young girl had been "found alive and taken in charge by the services of gendarmerie and the medical services".
Thursday around 8:00 pm, the gendarmes had been "asked for facts of kidnapping of a young woman of 19 years just committed in Courville", in the west of the department, he had previously reported in a press release.

There, they discovered a very seriously injured 20-year-old man in a vehicle, who died a few hours later.
The prosecution opened an investigation into flagrante delicto for murder and kidnapping in an organized gang overnight.
The investigation was entrusted to the research section of Reims.
"Very heavy means" had been engaged on Thursday evening by the gendarmerie, "both to find the young woman and to apprehend the perpetrator or perpetrators", according to the prosecutor.
General Bruno Louvet, commander of the Marne gendarmerie group, had specified that 80 people had been mobilized in this department alone, while the research was also extending to neighboring departments.
