On May 20, a preliminary investigation into suspected kidnapping began after a 43-year-old man disappeared.

The man lives in a town in Dalsland but has connections to Årjäng and it was also there that his car was found abandoned last week.

On Sunday, the case was reclassified to murder.

Interesting objects have been seized

According to investigation leader Ola Gripö, several house searches have been carried out during the past week where the police have seized goods / objects that are of interest to the investigation.

In Årjäng and the surrounding area, the police have identified interesting places and areas where searches with the help of dog patrols and rescue services have been carried out.

Another detainee

A woman and a man are already reasonably suspected, the lower degree of suspicion, of kidnapping.

They are in custody for theft in another case.

Yesterday, Thursday, another person was detained on suspicion of involvement in the burglary where there are already two detainees.

This person has also been notified of suspicion of kidnapping and heard about it.

The search for clues connected to the disappearance will continue in the area around Årjäng next week as well.
