China News Service, May 28. According to foreign media reports, on the 27th local time, the foreign ministers of the Group of Seven (G7) issued a statement calling on Belarus to "immediately and unconditionally" release the previously arrested Belarusian opposition journalist Roman Protašević.

The foreign ministers of the Group of Seven (G7) said in a statement that they strongly condemned the arrest by the Belarusian authorities, saying that this action endangered the safety of passengers and crew of the flight.

This is also a serious attack on civil aviation management rules.

The statement called for the immediate and unconditional release of Raman Platasevich and "all other journalists and political prisoners detained in Belarus."

On May 23, local time, Minsk, Belarus, an Irish Ryanair passenger plane landed at the Belarusian capital Minsk International Airport due to a bomb threat, and then took off again and landed at its destination, Vilnius, Lithuania.

On May 23, a passenger plane of Irish Ryanair made an emergency landing at the Belarusian capital Minsk Airport on the way from Greece to Lithuania due to bomb threats.

The aircraft was inspected and found no explosive devices, and then flew back to Lithuania.

The Belarusian Commission of Inquiry has filed criminal proceedings against the fake bomb incident.

However, there are media reports that White claimed that there might be a bomb on the passenger plane and sent a fighter plane to "force" the plane to land in Minsk, and then arrested the opposition Protasevic on the plane.

Regarding the accusation of Belarus’s forced landing of international flights and the arrest of opponents by many Western countries, the spokesperson of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Graz said on the 24th that in the case of the emergency landing of the passenger plane, White’s behavior is in full compliance with international rules and that White can guarantee complete transparency. When necessary, White will show all materials to international experts.

White is surprised that some countries and European institutions are eager to make "belligerent remarks."

On May 26, France, Ireland and Estonia initiated a closed-door discussion on the landing of aircraft in Minsk in the UN Security Council. After the discussion, Estonia, France, Ireland, Norway, the United Kingdom, the United States, Belgium and Germany issued statements.

The statement stated that the flight was forced to land by a Belarusian military plane for "false reasons" and promised to step up efforts to make Minsk "acceptable for its actions."

In response, the Permanent Mission of Belarus to the United Nations issued a protest note to these countries’ missions to the United Nations. The Permanent Representative of Belarus to the United Nations Rebakov said, “Before the relevant investigation is conducted and the relevant results are obtained, any opinions and any comments on the incident will be issued. Evaluations are all outstanding examples of violations of the sovereignty of member states."

The ICAO Council said on the 27th that it will conduct a fact-finding investigation on this incident.
