As the effects of the new coronavirus are prolonged, there are cases where the government's loans that can borrow living expenses are used up to the maximum and support is not available, so the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has decided to use one household after July. We have decided to establish a new system that will provide up to 300,000 yen per person.

The national "emergency small-lot fund" and "comprehensive support fund" systems, in which people with reduced income can borrow living expenses, can currently use up to 800,000 yen in total.

However, as the effects of the new coronavirus continue to prolong, there are cases in which two loans are used up to the maximum and are cornered without receiving support.

For this reason, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has decided to establish a new benefit system, and announced the details of the system on the 28th.

According to this, the target of the benefit is households who are having trouble living due to a decrease in income due to the inability to use national loans.

Households receiving welfare protection are not eligible.

Specifically, in the case of the 23 wards of Tokyo, the monthly income for a single-person household is 138,000 yen or less, and the monthly income for a three-person household is 241,000 yen or less.

In addition, deposits and savings are 1 million yen or less, and it is a requirement that consultations and interviews be conducted at Hello Work for reemployment.

The benefit period is three months after July, with a monthly benefit of 60,000 yen for single-person households, 80,000 yen per month for two-person households, and 100,000 yen per month for households with three or more people.

The contact point for applications is the local government where the welfare office is set up, and the policy is to start accepting applications as soon as possible and set the application deadline until the end of August.

The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has set up a dedicated call center to accept consultations from 9 am to 5 pm on weekdays from the 31st of this month.

The phone number is the toll-free number "0120-46-1999".
