Tottenham, who sacked José Mourinho a little over a month ago, would have contacted his ex-coach Mauricio Pochettino, currently stationed at Paris SG, to return to his bench, according to the British press on Friday.

The Argentine was dismissed from Spurs in November 2019, after five years in office, and rebounded at the capital club this winter, after the dismissal of German Thomas Tuchel, who rebounded quickly at Chelsea .

According to the BBC, Tottenham have not made direct contact with Paris Saint-Germain while the Guardian explains that the former center-back would be interested in returning to the helm of the London club.

PSG, who were deprived of the league title by Lille and who were eliminated in the Champions League semi-final by Manchester City, only had the Coupe de France to add to their list this season.

Under Pochettino, Tottenham finished three seasons in a row on the podium from 2015 to 2017 and reached the Champions League final in 2019, lost to Liverpool.

The 49-year-old Argentine has always kept very good contact with club president Daniel Levy and remains very popular with supporters.

“Deep in my heart, I'm sure our paths will cross again. From the day I left the club, my dream was to come back one day and try to finish the job that I didn't. 've not finished, "he told BT Sports in April 2020.

Thursday, in an interview with the site of the Parisian club, the coach however projected towards his future in blue and red.
