The Ministry of Health will present "in the coming days" a plan detailing the organization of vaccination for the summer, in particular on vacation spots, government spokesman Gabriel Attal said on Friday.

He confirmed on franceinfo that the government would "strengthen the vaccine supply of centers which are located in very tourist sites so that French people who have not yet been vaccinated and who are going on vacation can be vaccinated. they want it ".

"In the coming weeks the Ministry of Health will present a specific plan for the summer with details on how we will organize the vaccination campaign and adapt it" to the summer period, he added, while the government wants to prevent the holidays from hampering vaccination.

Gabriel Attal, however, hinted that the possibility of getting vaccinated at his vacation spot might be limited: "When you make an appointment for a first dose of vaccine in a center, the second appointment must be made at this center. ", he underlined.

And, when asked about those who could get a dose at their vacation spot, he took the example of people who have recently contracted Covid, would have preferred to wait before getting vaccinated, and would ultimately like to do so on vacation.

The Ministry of Health has said in recent days that it wants to "avoid at all costs that the French do not postpone their first injection because they anticipate difficulties in making their second".

On the one hand, he wants there to be "additional doses in a number of tourist places" so that holidaymakers can receive their second injection, after having had the first where they live.

Advocating "flexibility", he also mentioned the possibility of "a small relaxation on the question of the spacing between the two doses", to avoid that the second "falls exactly in the middle of the holidays".

The reservation of slots on specialized internet platforms (Doctolib, Keldoc, Maiia) was extended Thursday to 18-49 year olds, the last category to be entitled to vaccines without health criteria.
