The number 2 of the Republicans Guillaume Peltier estimated that "in 2022, no voice should be on Emmanuel Macron", in an interview Thursday with Current values where he believes that "Marine Le Pen is not the enemy of the Republic "unlike" political Islam ".

"Contrary to good thinking, I say, Marine Le Pen is not the enemy of the Republic. The enemy of the Republic is political Islam. I fundamentally challenge the posture of the + republican front + which stems from an infinite intellectual laziness and a grotesque political imposture, "said the deputy for Loir-et-Cher.

"It is out of the question that I call to vote Emmanuel Macron" he added, launching: "do not submit to the left, which constantly blames the French right, without being worried for a single moment about its alliances with the extreme left ".

For the number 2 of LR, involved in his youth at the National Front from which he has since distanced himself, "the voters of the RN are not second-class citizens, they deserve our consideration".

And "with the overwhelming majority of LR sympathizers, I feel closer to someone nostalgic for Nicolas Sarkozy or Philippe de Villiers, a voter for the RN or a sympathizer for Jean-Pierre Chevènement (...) that of Emmanuel Macron, Christiane Taubira, Anne Hidalgo or François Hollande ", he added.

But the RN "does not provide good solutions" in particular on "economic and European" questions.

Marine Le Pen "seems to be Emmanuel Macron's spare tire" and "to vote Marine Le Pen is to take the immense risk of seeing Emmanuel Macron elected in the second round", he warned.

"Let's get out of this duel, because both feed off" and "I don't want either of them," assured Mr. Peltier for whom "only a strong, proud and popular right "will be able to beat Emmanuel Macron.

After the psychodrama of regional Paca around a possible support from LREM to Renaud Muselier's LR list, "we had to set this tight border with macronism" because according to him "the stake is more than political, it is cultural and civilizational ".

"The next presidential election must lay the foundations for a counter-revolution of common sense, patriotism, pride and the greatness of France," he said.
