On May 27, 2021, the Intermediate People's Court of Zibo City, Shandong Province held a public hearing on the case of bribery by Ma Ming, a former member of the CPPCC Committee and Vice Chairman of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region CPPCC.

The People's Procuratorate of Zibo City sent officers to appear in court to support the prosecution, and the defendant Ma Ming and his defender appeared in court to participate in the lawsuit.

  The People’s Procuratorate of Zibo City, Shandong Province prosecuted allegations: From 2000 to 2019, the defendant Ma Ming used to serve as a member of the Standing Committee of the Songyuan Municipal Party Committee and Deputy Mayor of Jilin Province, Party Secretary and Director of the Jilin Provincial Department of Commerce, Secretary of the Liaoyuan Municipal Party Committee of Jilin Province, and Party Leadership of the Jilin Provincial Government Member, deputy governor, party secretary and director of the Public Security Department, vice chairman of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region government, party secretary and director of the Public Security Department, member of the CPPCC Party Group and vice chairman of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, or formed by using their power and status Facilitating conditions, providing assistance to others in business operations, job adjustments, case handling, and obtaining loans, and illegally accepting property from others, a total of more than 157.85 million yuan.

  During the trial, the public prosecution agency produced relevant evidence, and the defendant Ma Ming and his defender cross-examined. The prosecution and defense fully expressed their opinions under the auspices of the court. Ma Ming made a final statement and pleaded guilty in court.

  More than 30 people including representatives of the National People's Congress, CPPCC members, journalists and people from all walks of life attended the trial.

  In the end, the court announced an adjournment and an optional sentence.
