I will start.

Regarding the annual expenses of members of the Diet, both the Liberal Democratic Party and the Komeito are calling for the refund of the annual expenses received during their tenure by former House of Councilors Anri Kawai, who was found guilty of acquiring the Public Offices Election Act. The party is considering amending the law, such as allowing the repayment of annual expenses.

Under these circumstances, the Komeito summarized the outline of the bill, and for all crimes, the annual expenses for the detention period after prosecution is 40%, the payment of the term-end allowance, which is a bonus, is suspended, and the crime is confirmed and the election is elected. If it becomes invalid, it will be obligatory to return the amount equivalent to 40% of the annual expenses paid.

Then, on the 27th, Secretary-General Ishii met with Secretary-General Nikai at the Liberal Democratic Party headquarters, explained the contents of the bill, and called for cooperation toward submission to the Diet.

In response, Mr. Nikai responded, "Thank you for putting together an accurate plan," and decided to start discussions with the practitioners of both the Liberal Democratic Party and the Komeito Party.

After the meeting, Mr. Ishii told reporters, "It will be one of the issues surrounding politics and money, so I would like to work toward an agreement."
