Candidate for regional elections in Ile-de-France under the Europe-ecology label Les Verts, Julien Bayou was this Thursday the guest of political Paris, the BFM Paris program in partnership with 20 Minutes.

The opportunity for the candidate to deliver his vision of the future for a region he aspires to chair, despite the fact that he finds himself in direct competition, on the left, with candidates Clémentine Autain (LFI) and Audrey Pulvar, supported by the Socialist Party.

On which he recalled this Thursday that "leaving separate does not mean being divided".

  • Housing

“We want to triple the budget for social housing”.

Objective: "to support the municipalities which build social housing", considers Julien Bayou.

"We can make social housing accessible", as in Versailles, also points out the candidate, who notes that the mayor of this commune of Yvelines, Etienne Pinte (UMP), has succeeded in catching up with the commune in terms of social housing .

“The region is not Paris in a big way.

We must be able to densify cities that have been somewhat abandoned.

Everything does not have to go through Paris.

We need social housing in affluent neighborhoods, but we also need to be able to live in the cities where we live, ”also considers Julien Bayou.

Favorable to the regulation of rents, Julien Bayou considers that it is incumbent on the region "to oblige the mayors of Ile-de-France to put in place these frameworks".

  • Emergency housing

“The construction of the Ile de France meant that the city was built with housing in the east and offices in the west.

Today there is housing available in this area for emergency housing.

When we talk about violence against women, the challenge is to ward off the predator.

Today the victim is removed for lack of sufficient housing possibilities, which is a double penalty.

The region must support and set up emergency accommodation for victims of violence, that is one of its skills, ”points out Julien Bayou.

  • Transportation

“There is a security issue in transport and it is a competence of the region.

We want to hire people present in the trains: a peace brigade.

We need people in the Noctilians, especially but not only.

It has been 6 years that we propose the presence of humans in transport at night.

This has been systematically refused by the current majority.

I cannot make up my mind that 100% of women are afraid in transport.

The region can act and file a complaint in place of the victims ”.

Regarding Audrey Pulvar's proposal to make transport free, Julien Bayou pleads "for fairer and more progressive pricing.

  • Economy

Julien Bayou went back on his promise of an investment plan of three billion euros "to transform the Ile-de-France economy in the service of the climate and local employment".

But he also recalled "his opposition to the Charles-de-Gaulle Express", to instead highlight the renovation of RER B and D54.

  • Ecology

"Valérie Pécresse is the enemy of ecology," assured Julien Bayou.

“She opposed the pedestrianization of the ways on the banks and did nothing against pollution in Ile-de-France.

Today 1 Ile-de-France dies from pollution every hour, ”he also recalled.
