"Long-range Tu-22M3 bombers, which arrived at the Russian Khmeimim airbase in the Syrian Arab Republic, made regular training flights over the eastern Mediterranean Sea," the Russian Defense Ministry quotes TASS.
It is noted that the flight was accompanied by Su-35 fighters.
Bomber crews received practical skills to perform missions in new geographic areas.
Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the first arrival of three long-range Tu-22m3 bombers at the Russian Khmeimim airbase.
