The State Department announced the observance of the START Treaty by the United States

"The United States fully complies with its treaty obligations and implements the START Treaty," RIA Novosti quotes a statement from the State Department.

The State Department noted that the agreement was extended for five years.

Earlier, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said that Russia has reasonable claims against the American side due to the re-equipment of some of its offensive weapons as part of the previously extended START Treaty.
