The head of state stressed that in conditions of instability factors operating in the Russian and global economy, one should “keep a finger on the pulse” and constantly assess the tendency of business activity.

“After last year's recession, the number of people employed in our economy has already increased by 1.2 million people.

We need to increase it by at least another 700 thousand to reach the level of 2019, ”Putin said.

According to him, at present in Russia there is a steady tendency to reduce unemployment and restore the labor market.

Putin noted that the country's economy is gradually recovering.

At the end of April, it was reported that the number of officially registered unemployed in the country had dropped to 1.63 million.

Aide to the President of Russia Maxim Oreshkin said he expects the labor market in Russia to fully recover to pre-crisis levels by the end of 2021.

Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations Vladimir Efimov, in an interview with kp.ru, assessed the situation on the labor market.
