China News Service, May 27. According to Russian satellite network reports, on the 26th local time, US Department of Defense spokesman John Kirby stated that the Pentagon did not call Russia an "enemy."

On the same day, at the press conference, when faced with a question asking to comment on the joint military exercise between Russia and Serbia, Kirby said that he did not have any details about the military exercise, so he could not discuss it in detail.

Later, some reporters expressed interest in the Pentagon’s views on Russia and mentioned that “Serbia is a member of NATO. The organization was essentially set up to combat Russia. Now the country is exercising with the'enemy'.”

Kirby said: "No one puts Russia as an'enemy'" and "we will not use this word to refer to Russia."

The Russian Defense Ministry previously stated that Serbia will hold a joint Russian-Serbian engineer exercise.

The military exercise will continue until June 11.

Russian soldiers will also provide consultations to Serbian soldiers and share the experience accumulated by Russian engineers at home and abroad.
