China News Service, May 27. According to the "Central News Agency" report, Air France (Air France) said on the 26th that because Russia has not approved a new route to bypass Belarusian airspace, Air France has cancelled a flight from Paris to Moscow.

Air France, a subsidiary of Air France-KLM, stated through a spokesperson that Air France had cancelled flight AF1154 for "bypassing Belarusian airspace-related operational reasons."

A spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Transport did not comment on the matter.

Belarus stated earlier on the 26th that France’s refusal to allow the Minsk-Barcelona flight to fly over its airspace was an act of “air hijacking”.

On May 23, a passenger plane of Irish Ryanair made an emergency landing at the Belarusian capital Minsk Airport on the way from Greece to Lithuania due to bomb threats.

During this period, a Belarusian MiG-29 fighter took off to accompany the passenger plane.

After landing, the Belarusian police took away the Belarusian opposition persons on board.

Many Western countries accused Belarus of forced landing on international flights and arrested opposition figures.

The EU has decided to ban Belarusian flights from flying over EU airspace and stated that it will impose more economic sanctions on Belarus in the near future.
