The corresponding statement was made following the results of bilateral consultations held in Russia on the implementation of the 1972 agreement on the prevention of incidents on the high seas and in the airspace above it.
"During the annual consultations, the implementation of the agreement and our commitment to the dialogue on risk reduction are considered," the service's message quoted by TASS.
It is noted that the discussions touched upon the interception of each other's aircraft in international airspace, as well as the interaction of ships in international waters over the past year.
In May, the US Navy announced the confiscation of weapons from Russia and China in the Arabian Sea.
