The Federation Council during a meeting on Wednesday, May 19, approved the relevant law.

On May 18, the State Duma adopted amendments on new measures of targeted support for families with children. 

In particular, from September 1, sick leave payments for caring for a child under the age of eight are set at 100% of the average earnings.

In addition, single-parent families with children from eight to 17 years old will be assigned monthly payments in the amount of half of the child's subsistence minimum in the region.

The third amendment establishes, from July 1, 2021, a monthly allowance in the amount of 50% of the subsistence minimum for women registered with medical organizations in connection with pregnancy up to 12 weeks.
