In the regions, the Waldeck-Frankenberg district had the highest incidence with 126.0. The northern Hessian district thus has the fifth highest incidence in all of Germany. All other districts and cities in Hesse were below the hundred mark on Wednesday. On Tuesday, the cities of Wiesbaden and Kassel were still in the three-digit range. The Wetterau district had the lowest incidence at 25.3. At 50.2, Frankfurt is only slightly above the level from which further easing is possible. The Rhineland-Palatinate state capital Mainz, located to the left of the Rhine, is 56 and can also plan.

In the meantime, the first such decisions are possible in the Wetterau and Hochtaunus districts. While the Justus-von-Liebig-Therme in Bad Salzhausen and the outdoor pool in Nidda were the first pools in all of Hesse to open again on Saturday, other pools such as the Usa wave pool in Bad Nauheim or the spring water pool in Ockstadt follow suit at the weekend.

In the Hochtaunuskreis, the first outdoor pools open on Saturday according to the rules. Similar to the summer of last year, special rules apply due to the corona pandemic. In Königstein, Kronberg and Oberursel, tickets must be booked before the visit so that the contact details of the swimmers are available in the pool. A mask must be worn over the mouth and nose at the entrance, in the changing rooms and toilet rooms. There is an upper limit for the number of visitors who are in the outdoor pool at the same time. Sometimes time windows are set, after which the visitors have to leave the bathroom.

The prerequisite for bathing is that the number of new infections does not rise again. The city of Kronberg wants to open its forest swimming pool on Saturday. Then the swimmer's pool, the adventure pool and the children's pool are available. As in the previous season, the diving tower and the water slide will remain closed for the time being. Tickets must be

. There are four time slots to choose from, and no more than 325 visitors are allowed into the bathroom at the same time. Early swimmers have one and a half hours from 6.30 a.m., the other three time windows are three hours each. Admission for adults costs four euros.

On Tuesday, the sports pool with its lanes, as well as the non-swimmer and toddler pool in the Tauna-Bad in Oberursel, will be open. The children's playground and the two beach volleyball courts can also be used, but visitors must keep their distance from one another. Admission costs five euros for adults, and tickets can be

get booked. The same number of guests can also go to the forest swimming pool in Neu-Anspach, which will also open on Tuesday. There cards should even be able to be paid for in cash. Normal opening times apply, i.e. in June from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The Königstein outdoor pool in the Woogtal is not due to open until Monday, June 7th. Until then, water has to be let in and heated with solar energy. Last year, a maximum of 250 guests were allowed into the outdoor pool at the same time. The city council is aiming to allow 300 or 350 visitors this summer.

According to data from the German Interdisciplinary Association for Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine (Divi), there were 298 Covid 19 patients on Wednesday (6.19 a.m.), of whom 156 were ventilated. Almost 16 percent of all intensive care patients were in the clinic because of this diagnosis.
