"The Moscow City Court again refused to change the measure of restraint for our client from custody to house arrest with a place of residence in Moscow with relatives," said the defender.

Earlier, the human rights ombudsman in Moscow, Tatyana Potyaeva, said that Furgal was discharged from the SIZO-1 “Matrosskaya Tishina” hospital and transferred back to the Lefortovo remand prison, his condition is satisfactory.

According to the Ombudsman of the capital, after a month of treatment for coronavirus at the Matrosskaya Tishina hospital, Furgal was sent to the Lefortovo pre-trial detention center.

In early March, the Basmanny Court extended Furgala's arrest until June 8. He was charged with involvement in the murders.
