Burning flames soar from a large container ship.

The flames engulfed the entire ship beyond control.

The crashed MV X-Press Pearl was on the way to Singapore via Colombo, Sri Lanka, departing Hajira in western India on a Singapore-shipped ship.

The fire first started on the 21st, and after that, naval vessels etc. were put in to extinguish the fire, but the flames spread greatly due to the continued explosion.

Two of the 25 sailors on board were lightly wounded, but fortunately all escaped.

A total of 1,486 containers are carried on the ship, and it is said that chemical products such as 25 tons of nitric acid are also included.

Even though the coast guard ships and aircraft are dispatched to extinguish the fire, there is concern about oil spills as the ship is tilting at a rapid pace.

Up to now, eight containers have fallen into the sea, one of which has been crushed by an explosion shock and has floated to the shore.

It is said that the extinguishing work is not easy because high waves are rising along with the current strong winds.

In Sri Lanka's waters, in September of last year, a super tanker was on fire and some oil spilled.
