Bahrain closes schools and mandates work from home in the public sector by 70% for a period of two weeks

The authorities in the Kingdom of Bahrain announced raising the capacity of the daily number of vaccination doses against the emerging corona virus (Covid-19), and intensifying the use of rapid examination with the aim of identifying existing cases, and updating the protocols for dealing with existing cases and contacts.

The Bahrain News Agency "Bana" stated that it was decided to take reviewable measures related to the closure of sectors and activities and excluding some basic sectors starting from twelve at night on Thursday, May 27, 2021 to twelve at night, on Thursday, June 10, 2021, as follows:

Close all non-essential commercial activities.

Sports activities are banned.

Close schools and educational and training institutions.

Work from home in the public sector, at a rate of 70%.

- Banning special events.

- Continuation of work in the basic sectors in accordance with the previous measures and requirements that have been taken.
