When SKR last spring measured how good municipal care staff are at following all the steps in the basic hygiene and clothing routines, just over 6 out of 10 passed all the steps.

Now a new measurement has been made, throughout the country 25,635 observations have been made, and it shows that a larger proportion of the staff in the test pass all points, the result had increased from 64 percent in the fall to 67.6 in the spring across the country.

But despite the fact that the pandemic has been going on for over a year, just over a third still do not manage all the points in the survey, and there are municipalities where the result has deteriorated since last autumn.

In our area, it is about Högsby and Lessebo municipality.

Worse in Lessebo and Högsby

In the total survey, which looks at how basic hygiene routines and clothing rules are followed, Lessebo has fallen from 70 percent in the autumn to below 60 percent in the spring.

In Högsby municipality, the same figure has gone from over 80 percent in the autumn to about 70 in the spring.

- I think it is because more people took part in the survey this spring.

I do not feel that we have become worse at following these routines, says Britt Karlsson, social manager in Högsby municipality.

The social manager in Lessebo, Annika Fröberg, also does not notice that they have become worse at following the routines.

- We were surprised by the result.

But we came to the conclusion that we had forgotten to register some of our operations to SKR, it looks worse than it is, says Annika Fröberg.

In the municipalities of Växjö, Mörbylånga and Älmhult, the overall result according to SKR has improved since last autumn in the survey both in terms of basic hygiene routines and clothing routines.
