On May 23, Sophia Sapega was returning from Greece in the company of Roman Protasevich, the creator of the NEXTA Telegram channel recognized as extremist in Belarus.

According to the Ministry of Transport, due to the message about the mining of the board, the plane made an emergency landing at the airport in Minsk, where the Russian woman was detained along with the oppositionist.

The information about the bomb was not confirmed.

As RT was told at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the department received confirmation of information about the detention of the Russian woman.

The Russian Embassy in Belarus also asked to provide Sophia Sapega with the opportunity to meet with the consul.

Later it became known that the Russian diplomat had met the girl.

In turn, Sophia's lawyer, Alexander Filanovich, said that she was "charged with suspicion of committing a criminal offense."

“A preventive measure has been chosen - detention for a period of two months.

The place of detention of the suspect is the KGB pre-trial detention center, ”he said.

Meanwhile, a video of the interrogation of Sophia Sapega appeared on the network, where she says that she is the editor of the Telegram channel “Black Book of Belarus”, which discloses the personal data of the Belarusian security forces.

Little is known about Sophia.

She lived in Vladivostok until she was eight, and then moved with her mother to Belarus.

The girl entered the European Humanities University at the Faculty of International Law and moved to Vilnius.

However, she remained a citizen of the Russian Federation.

Sofia's mother Anna Dudich in an exclusive interview with RT spoke about her daughter and her acquaintance with Roman Protasevich.

- What do you know about the arrest of Sophia?

- We ourselves do not understand anything, we are in a state of shock.

We no longer know where to go.

I turned to the Foreign Ministry, wrote to the website of the Russian presidential administration ... I don't know what else to do to pay attention to our case.

I would very much like our law enforcement agencies, in particular the Republic of Belarus, to be able to figure it out.

And I hope that our girl will be free.

We were at the Russian embassy yesterday, talked with the consul.

We were given recommendations on what to do next and assured that they would try to visit Sofia.

We are waiting for a call and information from them.

- In your opinion, is the detention of Sophia connected with the opposition activities of Roman Protasevich?

“I don’t know why my daughter was detained.

Probably only because she is Roman Protasevich's companion.

- Tell us how she met him?

- They met about six months ago.

I always told only positive things about him.

My daughter is a very selective person.

I always said about Roman that it was a megamind.

Very calm, very level-headed.

How exactly the acquaintance itself happened, I do not know.

But Sophia is incredibly decent, she is a literate person, very well-read, was fond of philosophy, speaks English almost perfectly, drew beautifully, the drawings were unusual.

Probably, their meeting with Roman happened like this - on an intellectual level.

She and Protasevich just met, they had a joint vacation in Greece.

We called up with her on the eve of the flight home, she said that everything went well, I liked the rest.

And in the morning, when she was already at the Minsk airport, an SMS with the word "mom" came from her.

- Was Sophia interested in politics?

- She has always been out of politics.

Her mission was to graduate from the university.

In the near future, Sophia had to defend her work and receive a diploma.

We are geographically very close to Lithuania, literally an hour's drive.

A lot of children, her acquaintances advertised this university that there will be an international diploma.

These are her priorities.

The issue of further employment was not discussed, they would have looked according to the circumstances.

Perhaps she would return home.

- How did Sophia react to the events in Belarus last summer?

- Why were Sophia's social media accounts deleted after the arrest?

- We don't know where they went.

- A video of the interrogation of Sophia was posted on the Internet, where she says that she is the editor of the Telegram channel "Black Book of Belarus".

Do you know something about this?

- I know what kind of channel it is, but I cannot understand what it has to do with it. I have watched this video with her ten times and do not understand what is going on at all. For me, this information is a shock. Sophia and the Black Book? I am completely confused. Either it's a dream, or it's a setup.
