It shows that the number of people with an addiction has almost halved.
From 317 people in 2019 to 275 people in 2020.
- What we can see is that the group with addiction or dependence has decreased and that the group that does not have an addiction has increased.
Then what it depends on is too early to draw any conclusions about, says Christina Persson, development manager at Individual and Family Administration in the City of Västerås.
The survey is based on various authorities and voluntary organizations in Västerås reporting on which the homeless had contact with during the week.
As for the total homelessness in the city, it is slightly less than last year's compilation.
574 people are reported to be homeless compared to 597 people in 2019.
