The company Kunskapsporten has been appointed by Kalmar municipality as the supplier of a new bathing and wellness facility in Snurrom, the municipality announced in a press release on Tuesday morning.
- It will be a house with many activities for the people of Kalmar and also a tourist magnet.

Need for a new swimming pool
The old swimming pool in Kalmar was built in 1970 and is in extensive need of renovations.
A new bathing and wellness facility will create conditions that correspond to future needs based on swimming lessons, association activities, exercise, wellness, etc., the municipality writes on its website.
A final decision on whether the municipality will own the facility, or adopt Kunskapsporten as a supplier, will be made during the municipal council meeting on 21 June.
Construction is expected to start no earlier than the beginning of 2022. The construction period is just over two years.
