It can hardly have escaped anyone who has been outdoors recently that the Scanian rapeseed fields are in full bloom.

Nor has the color explosion gone unnoticed on social media.

LRF's youth organization is now going out on social media with a call to those who take pictures of the flowering not to go out into the fields.

Henrik Jönsson is a rapeseed grower in Kornheddinge in Staffanstorp municipality.

- You want to soak up this beautiful, yellow from the fields, but the problem is people who want to go out and take their selfie pictures in the rapeseed field, he says.

Henrik Jönsson thinks it is positive that Swedish agriculture receives attention, but urges visitors to stay out of the fields, so as not to trample the rapeseed plants and thereby cause financial losses for the farmer.

- I welcome people to the country but it should be done in the right way, he says.

He also believes that many of the people who go out into the field to take a picture of themselves do not realize that many others are doing exactly the same thing.

- It has been some farmers who have suffered major damage in their fields, says Henrik Jönsson.
