Esmeralda case: Now the Court of Appeal hearings begin

In total, the negotiations are expected to take eight days.

The first two days will be devoted to presentations from both parties.

Now that the hearing is being taken up by the Göta Court of Appeal, both the prosecutor and the defense lawyer are new.

Helene Gestrin has taken over as prosecutor and Emelie Righammar is Esmeralda's mother's new defender.

The case received a great deal of attention last year and has, among other things, led to the Social Welfare Board in Norrköping receiving scathing criticism from the Swedish Health and Care Inspectorate, Ivo, and a bill on a "Lex Little Heart".

The negotiations take place at the district court in Linköping.
