"The combat strength of the Serbian Armed Forces was replenished with modernized T-72MS tanks and armored reconnaissance and patrol vehicles BRDM-2M of Russian production," the Russian Ministry of Defense quoted him as saying during the ceremony of handing over the vehicles in the city of Nis on the territory of the 3rd mechanized brigade of the Serbian Ground Forces.
Fomin noted that the supplied equipment meets all modern standards and requirements and will strengthen the combat potential of the Serbian army.
The military leader also said that Russia will continue to assist in the modernization of the Serbian armed forces.
Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Russian-Serbian tactical anti-terrorist exercises had begun in Serbia.
