The Piedmontese Alpine Rescue is working on the Mottarone, in the area around Stresa, in the Verbano, where the cabin of the cable car has detached. Two 118 air ambulances and ground crews were sent to the scene. According to what is learned, at the moment there are 4 confirmed victims and it is not excluded that children are also involved in the accident. The newspaper La Stampa reports that "the cableway of the lift almost gave way to the summit (100 meters before the last pylon) in one of the highest points, where the cable car runs further away from the ground". According to the newspaper in the cabin "there should be eleven passengers".
