The handball players of Paris SG, qualified for the Final 4 of the Champions League, went to win in Aix 29 to 28 on Sunday and took a new step towards a seventh consecutive French league title.

The Parisians have 48 points, with 24 wins in 25 matches played, two more than Montpellier, the first pursuer but who played two more matches than PSG and who can only register six points until the end of the season.

Luka Karabatic's teammates will clinch the national title next week if they win in Chambéry on Wednesday and at home against Saint-Raphaël on Sunday in Coubertin.

They could even be crowned without playing in the event of success on Wednesday in the Chambérien Phare and of a Montpellier defeat on Saturday against Aix.

Sunday, the Parisians were hung for more than forty minutes but were able to benefit from the enormous performance of Nedim Remili in the second half, author of six goals and an assist, and which caused a penalty to allow the Parisians to s' come out with forceps.

In the fight for second place, qualifying for the Champions League next season, Nantes has moved closer to Montpellier thanks to its victory against Limoges.

The "H", striker of Veszprem Thursday in Hungary in the quarter-finals of the Champions League, totaled 41 points, five less than the MHB which has all the cards in hand to ensure the second place in the championship in case of success during of his next two matches, against Aix and Toulouse.

The slightest Hérault misstep could however make the last day between Nantes and Montpellier decisive for the C1 ticket in 2021/22.
