  Since May 18, earthquakes of magnitude 4 in Yangbi have been active, and earthquakes of magnitude 4.2 and 4.4 occurred on May 18 and 19.

After the 4.2-magnitude earthquake occurred on May 21, the activity level escalated rapidly, with 5.6-magnitude and 6.4-magnitude earthquakes occurring at 21:21 and 48, respectively.
